Lisa’s TIFF Documentary Premiere Caps Solo Breakout Year
Lisa will premiere her solo documentary Always Lalisa at the 2026 Toronto International Film Festival.
BLACKPINK’s Lisa is set to premiere her first solo documentary, Always Lalisa, at the 2026 Toronto International Film Festival. The festival runs Sept. 10–20.
Directed by Sue Kim, the 97-minute film chronicles the year in which Lisa stepped away from the group for the first time since childhood.
This period saw her release a No. 1 solo album, debut as an actress on HBO’s The White Lotus, and become the first K-pop artist to land a Las Vegas residency.
The documentary, produced by Sony Music Vision in association with RCA Records, Tremolo Productions, Salt Water Productions, and Lisa’s own management company LLOUD CO., was shot over 12 months.
Kim, best known for the Apple TV+ documentary The Last of the Sea Women, follows her subject as she builds a solo career under the pressure of a ticking clock before returning to BLACKPINK.
According to the official synopsis, the film confronts the fear and pressure of launching a solo career, pursuing acting, and building a brand. It also explores her yearning to maintain a personal life beyond the spotlight.
From Coachella to Caesars Palace
The documentary tracks the creation and release of Lisa’s debut solo album Alter Ego. The album debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Top Album Sales chart in March 2025.
She became the second member of BLACKPINK to secure a top 10 solo album on that chart. Rosé’s album rosie reached No. 3 in late 2024.
“Lisa is headlining a sold-out, four-show Las Vegas residency at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace, titled Viva La Lisa, on Nov. 13-14 and Nov. 27-28, 2025.”
The run makes her the first K-pop artist to secure a Las Vegas residency.
Tickets were released in stages: an artist presale via Ticketmaster began April 22 at 10 a.m. PT. A general public on-sale followed on April 23 at 10 a.m. PT.

The residency follows Lisa’s testing of smaller U.S. rooms last year. She had a sold-out night at YouTube Theater in Inglewood, California. According to Pollstar Boxoffice figures, it grossed $530,060 off 5,640 tickets sold.
Lisa’s Career-Defining Transition
The documentary traces Lisa’s journey from her early dreams in Thailand to becoming a member of one of the best-selling girl groups of all time.
It culminates in her emergence as the solo superstar she is today. No release date beyond the TIFF premiere has been announced.
No additional information was available about a planned cinema or streaming release.
A Thailand native born Lalisa Manobal, Lisa established her own management company, Lloud. She partnered with RCA Records for global distribution.
She has secured major endorsement deals with brands like Louis Vuitton, Bulgari, and MAC Cosmetics. Her financial footprint includes luxury real estate acquisitions in Seoul’s Seongbuk-dong district and residential properties in Los Angeles.
Lisa’s net worth is estimated at US$40 million. This ties her with Rosé among BLACKPINK members.
