My Life with the Walter Boys Season 3’s Risky Finale Dominates Netflix
My Life with the Walter Boys Season 3 premiered on Netflix August 6, 2026, and topped the Global Top 10 in 53 territories within 24 hours.
My Life with the Walter Boys Season 3 did not just premiere — it conquered. By topping Netflix’s Global Top 10 in 53 territories within 24 hours, the YA drama proved its audience is not only growing but increasingly international.
The season’s deliberate cliffhanger — Cole Walter’s fate left hanging after a rival runs him off the road — is a calculated risk that positions Season 4 as the series’ most anticipated yet.
Global reach in a single day
Season 3 landed on Netflix on August 6, 2026, with all 10 episodes released simultaneously. Within one day, it hit #1 on the Netflix Global Top 10, topping charts in 53 territories including the UK, Spain, Serbia, and India.
At the time of writing, it had not yet appeared on the U.S. charts. Per FlixPatrol, the series rocketed past streaming competition such as Elite Force and I Will Find You.
That instant global dominance builds on Season 2’s momentum: that season drew 11.8 million views in its first four days and debuted as the #1 series globally, representing 57% viewership growth over Season 1’s debut period.
Season 3 finale cliffhanger
The Season 3 finale, titled “The Beautiful and the Damned,” ends with Cole Walter (Noah LaLonde) being chased and crashed into by rival racer Danvers Stacey (Jedidiah Goodacre).
“It was always really how we wanted to end this season. We like to throw everything up in the air in this show. We like to subvert expectations and make people desperate for more and make people shout at their screen because they can’t believe it’s over.”
“The way Cole actually ends up getting hurt is not a race. It’s a crazed competitor gone rogue.”
Cole had skipped a qualifying race to return to Jackie; Danvers, upset about the forfeited prize money, follows Cole and runs him off the road, causing Cole’s yellow 1981 Z28 Camaro to flip in the air before crashing. Cole’s fate is left unresolved.

Jackie’s character growth
The finale also features Jackie (Nikki Rodriguez) kissing Elliot (Naveen Paddock), a childhood friend from New York who serves as Uncle Richard’s intern, at a party for the community space Jackie has been organizing.
Halsall explained Elliot functions as “a reminder of who she used to be and where she used to be.” Nikki Rodriguez described Jackie’s arc this season: “Jackie has never put herself first, ever. That manifests in her being such a perfectionist people pleaser all the time.
This season, for the first time, she starts to put herself first.” Meanwhile, Alex (Ashby Gentry) is processing an unexpected kiss with Kiley (Mya Lowe). New characters this season include drag racer Mac (Chad Rook), who introduces Cole to car racing, and Elliot.
Renewal and future plans
Netflix renewed the series for Season 4 ahead of the Season 3 premiere. Season 4 is currently in production and slated for a 2027 release.
Over 20,000 viewers attended the Season 3 virtual premiere event. Season 2 earned a 67% critic score on Rotten Tomatoes.
The show’s consistent growth — from Season 1 to Season 2’s 57% viewership increase, and now Season 3’s immediate global #1 — suggests Netflix’s early renewal was a bet on a franchise that keeps expanding its audience.
