Sony Unifies Spider-Man Posters as Brand New Day Breaks Record

Sony Pictures has released 10 new digital posters unifying its entire Spider-Man film library across Prime Video and the iTunes Store.
This gives the franchise a consistent visual identity for the first time. The rollout coincides with a historic box office milestone: Spider-Man: Brand New Day shattered the record for the biggest U.S. opening weekend with a $360 million debut.
Meanwhile, Andrew Garfield — who played Peter Parker in the two Amazing Spider-Man films and returned for Spider-Man: No Way Home — has reiterated the unconventional conditions under which he would suit up again.
Unified Visual Identity for Spider-Man’s Multiverse
Each poster places its respective Spider-Man at the center, surrounded by key supporting characters and villains.
Each poster has a distinct color palette tied to its era. Sam Raimi’s Tobey Maguire trilogy uses a rich red scheme. Marc Webb’s Amazing Spider-Man films are bathed in blue.
Jon Watts’ Tom Holland MCU trilogy uses gold. The animated Spider-Verse movies are highlighted with vibrant purple.
The Raimi posters feature Green Goblin (Willem Dafoe), Doctor Octopus (Alfred Molina) and Sandman (Thomas Haden Church).
Garfield’s films include Gwen Stacy (Emma Stone), Electro (Jamie Foxx), Green Goblin (Dane DeHaan) and the Lizard (Rhys Ifans).
Holland’s run — Homecoming, Far From Home and No Way Home — is fully represented. Miles Morales (voiced by Shameik Moore) anchors the two Spider-Verse entries.
The design shift signals Sony’s intent to treat the sprawling multiverse as a single brand property, rather than marketing each film independently.
Garfield’s Unconventional Condition
Garfield, who has publicly said he is open but picky about reprising the role, told The Playlist what it would take to bring him back.
“I would need it to be very, very odd. I would need it to be very strange, and I would need it to be completely unconventional and almost — I wouldn’t say boring — but I would want it to be just completely unexpected, like a genre of Spider-Man that you’ve never seen before, that feels very left field.”
He suggested a road-trip movie as one such out-of-the-box concept.
Garfield did not appear in Spider-Man: Brand New Day nor the upcoming Avengers: Doomsday. He firmly denied the latter possibility to GQ in October.
His return to the MCU or to Sony’s standalone universe remains an open question. His conditions leave the door ajar for a project that breaks the superhero mold entirely.
With Brand New Day already setting a domestic opening record and Sony now presenting its entire web-slinging catalog under a unified banner, the Spider-Man franchise shows no signs of slowing — even if one of its past faces is holding out for something truly strange.
