Blue Lock Season 3 Gets Title, Visual on Blue Lock Day

The third season of the Blue Lock anime has been officially titled Blue Lock: Neo Egoist League, with a teaser visual featuring protagonists Isagi Yoichi and Michael Kaiser.

The announcement was made on June 9, celebrated as Blue Lock Day in Japan — a pun on how 6/9 can be pronounced like “lock” in Japanese.

Teaser Visual and Character Profiles

The newly unveiled key visual highlights two key figures in the upcoming Neo Egoist League storyline.

Isagi Yoichi, voiced by Kazuki Ura, was described as an unknown high school forward who joined the Blue Lock project to chase his dream of becoming the world’s number one striker.

After scoring the decisive goal against Japan’s U-20 national team, he became an overnight sensation.

Michael Kaiser, voiced by Mamoru Miyano, is introduced as the ace forward of Bastard München — Germany’s strongest club — and a member of the New Generation World XI.

His character profile emphasizes absolute confidence in his talent and a fierce ego that looks down on lesser opponents.

Kaiser was previously cast by Miyano at the end of Season 2.

Alongside the visual, the staff released new character visuals and profile information for both players.

The new season will adapt the “Shin Eiyū Taisen” (New Hero Wars) story arc from the manga by Muneyuki Kaneshiro and Yusuke Nomura.

Previous Seasons and Streaming

The Blue Lock anime series first premiered in Japan in October 2022 on TV Asahi and affiliates in the NUMAnimation programming block, running for 24 episodes.

Crunchyroll streamed the series as it aired and also released an English dub.

The second television season, BLUE LOCK vs. U-20 JAPAN, debuted in October 2024 and aired 14 episodes, again available on Crunchyroll across North America, Central America, South America, Europe, Africa, Oceania, the Middle East, and CIS.

To commemorate Blue Lock Day, a special video about the franchise’s various adaptations was streamed.
