Neagley Spinoff Trailer Drops as Reacher Season 4 Premieres

Prime Video released the trailer for "Neagley," a Reacher spinoff premiering Sept. 16, the same day as Reacher Season 4.

Prime Video has released the first full trailer for “Neagley,” the spinoff of its hit action series “Reacher,” with the eight-episode first season set to debut Sept. 16.

The trailer arrives the same day “Reacher” opens its fourth season, and the new show’s premiere date coincides with that season’s finale — a coordinated rollout that positions Neagley as a direct extension of the flagship series.

Maria Sten reprises her role as Frances Neagley, a Chicago-based private investigator and former military protégé of Jack Reacher in the Army’s 110th Special Investigations Unit.

The series follows Neagley as she investigates the suspicious death of a beloved friend, a case that pulls her into the orbit of a seemingly altruistic group that the trailer reveals to be a front for a nefarious cult.

Cast and Creative Team

Joining Sten are Greyston Holt as Detective Hudson Riley, Adeline Rudolph as Renee Birdwhistle, Jasper Jones as Keno, Matthew Del Negro as Pierce Woodrow and Damon Herriman as Lawrence Cole.

Alan Ritchson guest stars as Jack Reacher, reprising his role from the parent series.

The series is created by Nick Santora and Nicholas Wootton, who also serve as executive producers and co-showrunners.

Lee Child, whose novels spawned the Reacher franchise, is an executive producer alongside Don Granger, Sam Hill, Adam Higgs and Lisa Kussner.

Hill directed the first two episodes.

Carolyn Harris, Kenny Madrid and Niko Fernandez oversee the project for Paramount Television Studios, which produces the series alongside Amazon MGM Studios.

Neagley’s Reacher Origins

The Season 3 finale of “Reacher” set up Neagley getting her own spin-off, and the project has been in development since.

The series draws on Child’s source material and the established Reacher mythology, following Neagley as she applies lessons learned from Reacher and her time in the 110th Special Investigators to pursue a dangerous investigation.

The official logline: “Frances Neagley is a private investigator in Chicago and former military protégé of Jack Reacher in the Army’s 110th Special Investigations Unit.

When she learns that a beloved friend from her past has been killed in a suspicious accident, she becomes hell-bent on justice.

Using everything she’s learned from Jack Reacher and her time as a member of the 110 Special Investigators, Neagley puts herself on a dangerous path to uncover a menacing evil.”

Back-to-back scheduling with “Reacher” Season 4 gives Prime Video a full week of Reacher-verse programming, allowing the streamer to capitalize on overlapping audiences while introducing Sten as a lead in her own right.
