One Piece Elbaph Arc Nears Finale as God Valley Arc Set for 2027
The Elbaph Arc will conclude in nine episodes before One Piece transitions to the 26-episode God Valley Arc in 2027.
One Piece’s Elbaph Arc is entering its final stretch, with approximately nine episodes remaining before the anime pivots to the long-rumored God Valley Arc in 2027.
The transition marks one of the most significant shifts in the series’ Final Saga, moving from a Norse mythology-inspired giant kingdom to a legendary battle that reshaped the world 38 years before Luffy’s journey began.
The God Valley Arc will run for 26 episodes and centers on the infamous clash between the Rocks Pirates, the Roger Pirates, and the Marines at God Island.
The conflict erupted during a Celestial Dragons’ hunting competition, with the Rocks Pirates under Rocks D. Xebec turning the event into chaos.
To bring down Rocks, Gol D. Roger and Monkey D. Garp forged a temporary alliance, and the arc will chart the formation of that partnership through the battle itself.
Elbaph Arc Storyline and Themes
The Elbaph Arc, which premiered on April 5, 2026, as One Piece moved to a seasonal release schedule, has carried the Straw Hat Pirates and Giant Warrior Pirates to the island of giants.
The storyline has delivered heartfelt reunions, exploration of a kingdom divided into the underworld, sun realm, and heaven realm, and escalating conflict with the World Government.
With the anime now roughly nine episodes from the end, the pace has begun to compress ahead of the 2027 handoff.
Episode 1174 and Release Details
The shift carries practical implications for viewers. One Piece is reverting to a schedule of 26 episodes per year in 2026, down from the usual 40 to 50, a move designed to let the manga extend its lead and address pacing issues that have drawn criticism in recent cours.
Episode 1174, titled “Save the Children! The Elbaf Warriors Rise Up,” arrives on Crunchyroll on August 16 at 7:15 a.m. Pacific / 10:15 a.m. Eastern, followed by its Netflix debut on August 22.

New episodes continue to drop every Sunday on Crunchyroll before landing the following Saturday on Netflix, a cadence the reduced episode count will preserve through the end of the Elbaph run.
Final Saga and One Piece Day 2026
The God Valley transition lands squarely within the Final Saga, the interconnected series of arcs that began right after Wano.
The Elbaph Arc has been positioned as a bridge between the post-Wano landscape and the backstory that explains how the world arrived at its current power structure, and God Valley represents the deepest cut into that history yet.
Fans will get a fuller picture of the road ahead at One Piece Day 2026 on August 22 and 23, which will feature an Elbaph Arc voice cast panel, One Piece Card Game updates, live performances, and the reveal of the second WORLD TOP 100 Character Popularity Poll.
Last year’s event delivered the first look at the Elbaph Arc and the Heroines anime adaptation, setting a precedent for franchise-shaping announcements that this year’s gathering is positioned to match.
