3 min readD23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event returns to Anaheim, California, August 14–16, 2026, with six panels and showcase presentations set to stream live on Disney+ for global subscribers.
The weekend’s at-home lineup is anchored by the Horizons: Disney Experiences Showcase on Saturday and the Disney Legends Award Ceremony on Sunday.
However, the marquee Friday evening Disney Entertainment Showcase — historically the source of major film, television, and gaming reveals — will not be carried on the livestream.
Friday Animation Celebration
Friday’s streaming coverage begins at 11 AM PT with the Walt Disney Animation Studios: Beauty and the Beast 35th Anniversary Celebration.
The event marks the live debut of the panel dedicated to the 1991 animated feature.
No additional Friday panels are slated for the Disney+ livestream, and the Disney Entertainment Showcase, which typically pulls double duty revealing new movie, TV, and video game projects, will remain an in-person exclusive.
Saturday Headliner: Horizons Showcase
Saturday, August 15, carries the heaviest streaming slate of the weekend.
At 3:30 PM PT, Percy Jackson and the Olympians: Season 3 will host a panel with its cast.
The Disney Rewind Encore Concert follows at 6:30 PM PT, leading directly into the Horizons: Disney Experiences Showcase at 7 PM PT — the headline parks announcement of the entire weekend.
“Host Neil Patrick Harris will be joined by Disney Experiences Chairman Thomas Mazloum and nine Walt Disney Imagineers, four of whom are tied directly to Walt Disney World projects.”
The presentation is expected to deliver updates, new artwork, and behind-the-scenes looks at the parks projects currently under construction across Disney’s resort portfolio.
Sunday: Documentaries and Legends
Sunday, August 16, opens at 10:15 AM PT with Disney Worldbuilders, a panel featuring filmmaker Leslie Iwerks.
The session accompanies the Disney+ debut of Iwerks’ new feature-length documentary exploring how Disney’s most prominent storytellers draw creative inspiration from the theme parks.
The weekend closes with the 2026 Disney Legends Award Ceremony at 6 PM PT, the annual program honoring individuals who have made extraordinary contributions to the Disney legacy.
Beyond the Convention Floor
Outside the Anaheim Convention Center, Disney and Epic Games confirmed a new collaboration that will bring Disney Animation, Pixar, Star Wars, and Marvel content into Fortnite.
From August 14, eligible U.S. subscribers will also be able to claim a commemorative digital pin through Disney Pinnacle by Dapper Labs, with additional Perks rolling out from collaborators including ESPN College Football and Marvel Studios.
For fans planning to watch from home, the streaming schedule is straightforward: a standard Disney+ subscription provides access to all six livestreamed events across the three-day run, with no additional registration required.
