Disney+ Sets December 2026 Premiere for Twisted-Wonderland’s Savanaclaw Arc
Disney+ announced Disney Twisted-Wonderland The Animation: Episode of Savanaclaw will premiere in December 2026.
Disney+ has confirmed that “Disney Twisted-Wonderland The Animation: Episode of Savanaclaw,” the second season of its anime based on Disney’s Twisted-Wonderland franchise, will begin exclusive streaming in December 2026.
The season shifts focus to the Savanaclaw Dorm — whose characters are inspired by Scar from Disney’s The Lion King — and will follow Leona Kingscholar’s scheme to sabotage Night Raven College’s interdormitory Magift tournament.
The announcement was made on July 27, 2026, timed to coincide with the in-game birthday of Leona Kingscholar, Savanaclaw’s Housewarden.
No exact premiere date has been announced.
Cast and Production Team
Season 2’s main cast includes Yūichirō Umehara as Leona Kingscholar, Taito Ban as Jack Howl, and Aoi Ichikawa as Ruggie Bucchi.
The tagline for the new season reads “A wicked plot begins.”
Animation production continues to be handled by Yumeta Company and Graphinica, the studios behind Season 1.
Shin Katagai is directing, with Takahiro Natori serving as chief director and series script supervisor.
Yoichi Kato is the main writer, with character design by Hanaka Nakano and Akane Satō.
The Savanaclaw arc was drawn as a manga by Oda Suzuka from December 2022 through January 2026, centering on Leona’s plan to sabotage the Magift tournament using forbidden magic.
This culminates in an Overblot — a crisis state in which a mage’s accumulated magical waste product overwhelms their magical tool, corrupting body and mind and producing a phantom entity embodying the caster’s deepest unresolved grief.
Season 1 and the Franchise
Episode of Heartslabyul, the first eight-episode season, debuted exclusively on Disney+ on October 29, 2025, with an English dub launching simultaneously on Disney+ and Hulu.
That season adapted the first arc of the franchise’s manga adaptation drawn by Sumire Kowono, introducing protagonist Yūken Enma, a kendō club student transported to Night Raven College.
Night Raven College is a prestigious magic academy whose seven dormitories are each founded in the spirit of a classic Disney villain.

Yōhei Azakami voices Yūken Enma.
The first season’s main cast includes Natsuki Hanae as Riddle Rosehearts, Seiichirō Yamashita as Ace Trappola, Chiaki Kobayashi as Deuce Spade, Ryōta Suzuki as Trey Clover, Tatsuyuki Kobayashi as Cater Diamond, Noriaki Sugiyama as Grim, and Mitsuru Miyamoto as Dire Crowley.
Additional dormitory cast members include Atsushi Tamaru as Azul Ashengrotto, Kazuki Katō as Malleus Draconia, and Kōki Uchiyama as Idia Shroud.
Three-Season Plan and Promotional Timing
The overall anime is planned to run for three seasons — Episode of Heartslabyul, Episode of Savanaclaw, and Episode of Octavinelle — adapting the manga drawn by Sumire Kowono and Oda Suzuka.
The decision to align the Savanaclaw announcement with Leona Kingscholar’s in-game birthday reflects a deliberate promotional strategy: leveraging the franchise’s character calendar to drive fan engagement around each new arc’s reveal.
With Season 2’s darker tonal focus and its departure from the Heartslabyul setting, the Savanaclaw arc will test whether the anime can sustain momentum after a debut season that introduced the Night Raven College premise to a wider streaming audience.
