Reacher Season 4 Gets August 2026 Release Date, Spinoff Set
Prime Video has confirmed that Reacher Season 4 will debut on August 12, 2026, with the first three episodes dropping simultaneously before moving to a weekly release schedule.
The new season, which has already finished filming, adapts Lee Child’s 13th novel, Gone Tomorrow, and continues the franchise’s expansion with a spinoff series premiering the same day as the finale.
Release Schedule and Spinoff Premiere
The eight-episode season will release its first three episodes on August 12.
Subsequent episodes will follow weekly: Episode 4 on August 19, Episode 5 on August 26, Episode 6 on September 2, Episode 7 on September 9, and the finale on September 16.
On that same date, the spinoff series Neagley, starring Maria Sten as Reacher’s popular ally, will debut all eight episodes of its first season.
The dual premiere day marks a strategic expansion of the Jack Reacher universe on Prime Video.
Filming for Season 4 took place from June to November 2025, following the show’s official renewal in October 2024 — about four months before Season 3 premiered in February 2025.
The series, which was the first Amazon production to top the Nielsen streaming rankings, earned an early Season 5 renewal in May 2026, just a month before the Season 4 release date announcement.
Cast and Character Changes
Alan Ritchson returns as Jack Reacher.
The new season introduces several additions to the cast, with some character names changed from the source material.
| Actor | Role |
|---|---|
| Alan Ritchson | Jack Reacher |
| Christopher Rodriguez-Marquette | Jacob Merrick (originally cast as Jay Baruchel) |
| Sydelle Noel | Tamara Green |
| Agnez Mo | Lila Hoth |
| Anggun | Amisha Hoth |
| Kevin Corrigan | Detective Docherty |
Notable changes from the novel: In Gone Tomorrow, the NYC detective who teams up with Reacher is named Theresa Lee, but in the series she is renamed Tamara Green and played by Sydelle Noel.
Jacob Merrick is likely the TV version of Jacob Mark, a cop and brother of Susan Mark, whose suicide sets the plot in motion.
Lila Hoth’s mother, originally Svetlana Hoth, is now called Amisha Hoth, played by Indonesian singer Anggun.

Plot: A Subway Suicide Leads to Conspiracy
Season 4 is based on Lee Child’s Gone Tomorrow, which begins with Reacher witnessing a suicide on a New York subway.
The deceased woman is identified as Susan Mark, a Pentagon staffer.
As Reacher digs deeper, he uncovers a conspiracy involving a corrupt politician, Al-Qaeda terrorists, and a series of murders.
He is forced to work against the clock with Susan’s brother, Jacob, to solve the mystery and find her missing son, Peter.
The season promises the signature blend of detective work and action that has made the series a streaming hit.
With a confirmed release strategy, a growing universe, and a fifth season already in the pipeline, Reacher continues to solidify its place as a flagship property for Prime Video.
